Rec Everleague – Sundays 12pm – 2pm

$118.55$209.55

What is it?

A continuous, open league that plays on the same night every week (Sundays, in this case), records your stats, and takes care of all team balancing with an innovative re-draft cycle as the league progresses.

It records stats?

Player stats recorded:

  • goals
  • primary assists
  • shots on net
  • penalty minutes
  • games played
  • wins
  • losses
  • ties

Goalie stats recorded:

  • shots on net,
  • saves
  • goals against average
  • games played
  • wins
  • losses
  • ties

That’s a lot of stats!

Yes, these stats are recorded to help us determine overall player skill level and make the league as even as possible during the ongoing re-drafting processes.

Can I sign up with a friend?

Yes! While this league does not accept team registrations, it does accept individual and “handcuff” registrations. A handcuff registration means you will get to play with the person you sign up with.

How long can I sign up for?

You can choose between a 6-week and a 12-week registration.

What happens after I sign up?

You get drafted onto a team and your full schedule will be sent to your phone from the WBHL Game Manager (587-609-5901).

What do you mean by “continuous league”?

  • Games are scheduled 3 months in advance on a rolling basis
  • On the first of every month, another month of games are posted (eg: on August 1 the games are posted for the month of October).
  • Only the last 10 games played are considered in the standings

Why are only the last 10 games considered in the standings?

Every 6-12 weeks people are being added or removed from the league based on their registration periods. This means that roughly the last 10 games played are a true indication of the team’s successes or misfortunes.

What happens when my registration ends?

You can re-join or take a break!

What does re-joining look like?

If you re-join, you will go back into the draft pool and be drafted by a new team (or possibly the same team). The team who is lowest in the standings gets the first pick of the re-draft pool in each round and the team highest in the standings gets the last pick of the re-draft pool in each round. Players are assessed based on their stats and drafted by teams in a way to make the league as even as possible across the board.

Can I rejoin with the same handcuffed player as before?

Yes!

Can I handcuff with multiple players?

In order to make teams as even as possible across the board, you can only handcuff yourself to one player (or goalie) for each draft.

Does the league ever end?

No!

What about playoffs?

This league doesn’t have playoffs

But I want playoffs!

This league might not be your cup of tea then. This league is based on the idea that most people are interested in playing in games where we can make a difference. By recording all your stats and working to balance teams frequently, we are building a league where you can walk into the facility for every game knowing that if you play well, your team has a good chance at winning, and if you don’t play well then your team might not win. Either way, YOU matter!
