What to Expect – Youth Program

During the first half of each session, players are introduced to various skills and techniques to help them build their athleticism and co-ordination. The second half of the sessions are used for scrimmages and games where the players can practice the skills they learned from the first half.

As our leagues grow, the Saturday sessions will be used to form teams and play official games vs each other. Note that there are no out-of-town games or tournaments in this league. All games are played out of the Calgary Central Sportsplex.

What to Expect – Tyke Program

The Tyke Program is an open program for both kids and their parents to learn to play ball hockey. We will set up obstacles, regular nets, mini nets, pylons, among other things for the kids to have fun with. Kids who show an interest in learning can receive supplemental instruction on proper ball handling techniques in a fun and non-competitive environment. The goal of this program is to introduce the kids to ball hockey and help develop their motor-sensory functions through sport.
